[영어] 하루 한 문장 영어회화 패턴 #15 | Would you mind ~?

Would you mind sitting on the inside? : 안쪽으로 들어가시겠어요?

---

- Would you mind ~? : ~해도 괜찮으시겠어요?

- sitting on the inside : 안쪽에 앉기 

 

Would you mind ~? 는 정중하게 부탁하는 표현으로  '어떠어떠한 것 하는것이 괜찮으시겠어요?' 라고 할때 sitting과 같이 동사+-ing 형태와 함께 Would yoy mind -ing ? 로 사용하면 된다. 

 

버스 안이나 공연장 등에서 안쪽인 막힌 쪽 (창가 쪽)이 'inside', 뚫린 쪽 (복도 쪽)이 'outside' 이다.  

 

Would you mind ~? 와 같이 정중하게 부탁하는 표현과 예문

- Would you mind -ing ? : ~해도 괜찮으시겠어요?

= Do you mind -ing ? 

= Would you please ~ ? 

= May I~? 

 

- Would you mind sitting on the inside? : 안쪽으로 들어가주시겠어요?

= Do you mind sitting on the inside?

= Would you please sit on the inside?

= May I sit on the here? , May I sit on the outside? : (내 입장에서) 여기 앉아도 될까요? 제가 바깥에 앉아도 될까요? 

 

- Would you mind closing the door? : 문 좀 닫아주시겠어요?

= Do you mind closing the door? 
= Would you please closing the door? 

= May I close the door? : (내 입장에서) 문 좀 닫아도 될까요?

 

*그 외 많이 쓰는 표현이지만 위 표현들보단 덜 공손한 느낌으로 

'Could you please ~ing?' , 'Can you please ~ing?' 도 많이 사용된다. 

 

- Would you mind waiting? : 기다려주시겠어요? 

- Would you mind opening the window? : 창문 좀 열어도 될까요?
